For setting time in a new country.

x61:~% sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

Current default timezone: 'Europe/London'

Local time is now: Tue Dec 18 16:03:32 GMT 2007.

Universal Time is now: Tue Dec 18 16:03:32 UTC 2007.

A fairly new change from tzconfig.

16:01 <cjwatson> glibc (2.5-1) unstable; urgency=low

16:01 <cjwatson> The script tzconfig has been removed from glibc 2.5-1 and following

16:01 <cjwatson> versions. Please use 'dpkg-reconfigure tzdata' instead to configure

16:01 <cjwatson> the timezone.
