Installing libraries into your $HOME

Sometimes you don’t have root, or worse, no debian packages. =)
hendry@melkinpaasi:~/buildbot/buildbot-0.3.4$ python2.2 ./setup.py install --prefix=$HOME
Results in:
copying build/lib/buildbot/clients/gtkPanes.py -> /home/fs/hendry/lib/python2.2/site-packages/buildbot/clients
byte-compiling /home/fs/hendry/lib/python2.2/site-packages/buildbot/pbutil.py to pbutil.pyc
So distutils installs yourlibs conveniently in your $HOME/lib/python2.2/site-packages/yourlibs
