Roman enumeration

http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/latex/required/tools/enumerate.dtx You need the package which is in the latex2e distro(I think):

\usepackage{enumerate}

Check the URL for the options. For some nice roman numerals I use the token ‘[i.]’:

\begin{enumerate}[i.]

\item The images have no embedded metadata.

\item The researcher opens the images and imports the file.

\item Then the researcher views the images with the imported annotation and

can see if it fits any of the images.

\end{enumerate}
